An Islamic Qajar Coco de Mer Kashkul Beggar's Bowl, 19th Century, with Chain.
The bowl's surface is beautifully textured, showcasing the natural lines and patterns, making it both an artistic and functional piece. It is suspended by a chain, which allows for easy carrying and use, a typical feature of beggar's bowls used to collect alms during the Qajar period. The piercing near the rim holds the chain in place.
